We have reached an epidemic in selfishness in the Lower Mainland.
I see it frequently on overcrowded buses, when older people get on and yet not one younger person will stand up to offer a seat.
I see it walking down the street when, as a single, pedestrian, people walking three and four abreast will not move into a single file, making me having to walk onto the street to move past them.
I certainly saw it in the shameful behaviour of a bunch of rowdies who have never understood the concept of “responsibility for your actions.” Now they think a simple, “Aw, gosh, gee whiz I’m really sorry” will atone for their inexcusable behaviour. They should all be made to put in a minimum of 100 hours of labour for the city, cleaning up not only their mess, but cleaning up park area, every street littered with garbage, and made to work for free in the hospitals they helped fill with innocent bystanders after that infamous hockey game. Let them clean toilets and wash up floors. Perhaps then they will learn a little bit of what it is like to be an adult and help their community, rather than the selfish, ignorant imbeciles they have shown themselves to be.
